This November, before the Christmas rush fully sets in, we wanted to dedicate an evening to raise cash for kids who need some extra support and joy during a very stressful time in their life.
The Glasgow Childrens Hospital Charity has a fundraising campaign called 'Games For The Weans'. This campaign is raising funds to buy adapted gaming equipment, consoles and video games for the boys and girls at the children's hospital in Glasgow. Fundraising will also support the hospital's Gamer-in-Residence - so that children in hospital always have someone to play with.
On Saturday the 30th of November we will be hosting an evening of fun, games and fundraising for the Childrens Hospital. During our 3 hour event guests will have access to our arcade and cafe to mingle, enjoy our massive variety of games, take part in our raffles and auctions, and to learn more about the fantastic work that 'Games For The Weans' does for the kids in the Childrens Hospital.
We will also be hosting a number of events during the evening:
-We will be hosting a mini Mariokart tournament for anyone wishing to take part with a themed prize for the winner. -There will also be a Tetris high score challenge throughout the night too. The winner will receive a Tetris themed prize.
-Everyone attending our fundraising party will receive doughnuts from our neighbours at Doh too!
- From the start of November we will be running an in house raffle in our cafe, and we will be drawing the raffle during this event. R-CADE GAMING RAFFLE
Starting on the 1st of November we will be running a raffle in our cafe. We will be charging £1 per ticket with a whole pile of prizes to be won. The raffle will be drawn on the 30th, you do not need to be in attendance on the 30th to enter the raffle. Prizes will include:
Retro gaming wall light
R-CADE merch bundle
Party games from Big Potato Games
Arcade passes
Posters
Voucher for 2 pizzas, 2 sides at Nonna Said
Nintendo Switch cases
Guild Wars Figurine
An overnight stay for two at the Sandman Signature Glasgow Hotel
A Playstation 5
...plus many more items to be announced over the next month.

So you are looking for a fun and unique venue to host your next party or gathering? We have hosted over 200 private parties here at R-CADE. From kids birthdays, to 40th and 50th birthdays. From engagement parties to stag and hen do's. From online community meetups to works 'team building' nights (they just get drunk and play Mariokart to crown office champion!).
We love all the different events and reasons for big groups to book our space and have a great gaming experience! We have two different booking options with lots of ways to tailor your party or event:
ARCADE ONLY PARTY: This option gives you exclusive use of our arcade area for up to 16 guests. We can offer 1,2 or 3 hour parties. Once you book you can request your favourite games to be set up in time for your arrival, the guest of honour will be given a special gift from R-CADE and you can opt to buy R-CADE party bags for each guest. With this option the cafe area stays open to the public, but you get the arcade area all to yourselves!
IMPORTANT NOTE: R-CADE parties can only be booked for gamers aged 8 and up. Kids under 8 can attend private parties as guests, but the majority of guests must be aged 8 and up. We no longer accept birthday bookings for kids aged 7 or younger.
FULL VENUE PARTY: By booking a full venue party we close the doors to the public and you can host up to 30 guests with exclusive access to our arcade and cafe. This party type includes juice for all guests, a hot drink per adult, party bags for all guests and you can bring your own food which we can set up in our cafe area. The guest of honour also receives a gift from R-CADE too.
This option is best suited for larger groups, or smaller groups who would like to play and enjoy food / drink too.
30% OFF PIZZA!
We have also teamed up with local pizza restaurant Nonna Said in Merchant City. If you have booked an arcade only party you can visit Nonna Said afterwards and receive 30% discount on all food items.If you are booking a full venue party you can pre order Nonna Said pizza buffet and have it delivered to R-CADE during your party, you also receive your 30% discount too!
R-CADE CHRISTMAS DISCOUNT!
This year we are offering a very special party discount for the festive period. You can book a 2 hour full venue party in December for only £300, instead of the standard £396. We will only have 10 spots available to book so if you are planning on booking with us in December then get that form filled out on our party page. We have a couple of additional t&c's for our promo: - Parties can only be booked on dates in December, and can only be booked for 2 hour full venue for times after 3:30pm.
-To apply for our discounted rate please make sure to add 'Christmas Discount' in your booking form. If this is not mentioned then full price will be charged.
-50% deposit is required to secure your booking. This deposit is non-refundable, which means you cannot cancel your booking for a full refund from the date you pay your deposit, but you may be allowed to reschedule if required. Please note that R-CADE reserves the right to refuse a reschedule.
-Standard full venue t&c's apply regarding age restrictions, BYOB and food ordering.
